BIOMED TECHNICIAN TRAINING
The Philippine Biosafety Biosecurity Association (PhBBA) in partnership with the BEP-US State Department, as sponsors and Rotary Club of Manila and Modesto, USA Rotary Club, as training organizers, invite all laboratory technicians to attend an intensive 4 weeks Medical Equipment Training (MET) at the University of Perpetual Help System, Biñan, Laguna. This is accredited by TESDA and all the trainers will be coming from USA International AID as coordinated by the The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Inc. The Medical Equipment Training (MET) Curriculum aimed to train technicians on the repair and maintenance of basic laboratory equipment such as water baths, centrifuges, and microscope.
This November 2009, 2 batches of MET is Module 7 advanced curriculum which will cover automated chemistry analyzers/hematology analyzer, CD4 cell counters, Pippetman (conventional and automated), Vortexers, Sonicators, Spectrophotometers, PCR machines (conventional and real-time), High Performance Liquid hromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS), lab freezers and refrigerators, CO2, Various types of Biological Safety cabinets, fumehood, laminar flowhood and PCR cabinet and other laboratory incubators.
